TAHI CAFÉ

The Tahi Café is a social hub for the local community and holidaymakers alike during the summer.

Tahi Cafe is opening for the 2023/2024 summer season from 27th December until 6th February.

Situated on site and open annually from the end of December until the first week of Feb each summer, it has a blackboard menu of delicious breakfast and lunch dishes, freshly baked muffins and scones, together with great Peoples coffee and Kohu Road ice cream. There is ample parking and we also stock a small range of grocery items during the summer period.

Tahi Café is an ideal start and finish point for our self-guided walks. They are open to the public on Sunday’s only throughout summer (guests staying in the Tahi accommodation cottages are welcome to walk at any time). The walks range from a short stroll through native plantings and around a restored wetland, to a more challenging two-hour hike that takes you through the stunning native forest on the lower slopes of Ohuatahi.

Maps detailing the walks are available free of charge but a donation from walkers is greatly appreciated as all proceeds go directly to supporting the Tahi conservation project. All visitors wanting to do the walks (Sundays between 31st December and 4th February) are required to sign in and out at either the Tahi Café or the main Tahi Barn carpark.
