The Tahi Café is a social hub for the Tahi team, the local community and holidaymakers alike during the summer.
Situated on site and open annually from December 27th until February 6th (Waitangi Day) it has a blackboard menu of delicious breakfast and lunch dishes, freshly baked muffins and scones, together with great Peoples coffee and Kohu Road ice cream. There is ample parking and we also stock a small range of grocery items during the summer period.
Tahi Café is an ideal start and finish point for our self-guided walks are open to the public on Sunday’s only throughout summer (guests staying in the Tahi accommodation cottages are welcome to walk at any time). The walks range from a short stroll through the plant nursery area and around a restored wetland, to a more challenging two-hour hike that takes you through the stunning native forest on the lower slopes of the property.
Maps detailing the walks are available free of charge but a donation from walkers is greatly appreciated as all proceeds go directly to supporting the Tahi conservation project. All visitors wanting to do the walks are required to sign in and out at the Café.
So come and explore Tahi, and reward your physical efforts with a leisurely lunch or brunch at Tahi Café.
